Forex News Trading Strategy For The Week

This week is very busy in terms of Forex News Trading events. Our main focal points will be the ECB’s monetary policy decision, and the U.S. Labor report. While those are the main events, we also have rate announcements from the RBA and BOC, as well as other potentially high impact events like the BOE Bank Stress Tests, the BOE Financial Stability Report, and the Australian Quarterly GDP. We will also hear comments from several policy makers including the RBA’s Stevens, the Fed’s Yellen, the ECB’s Draghi, and the BOE’s Carney.

12:00am GMT – ANZ Business Confidence.
1:00am GMT – BOJ Gov Kuroda Speaks.
Tuesday 1st.
1:00am GMT – China’s Manufacturing PMI.
1:45am GMT – Caixin Manufacturing PMI.
3:30am GMT – RBA Rate Statement and Cash Rate.
7:00am GMT – BOE Bank Stress Test Results and Financial Stability Report.
9:00am GMT – BOE Gov Carney Speaks.
9:30am GMT – UK Manufacturing PMI.
1:30pm GMT – Canadian GDP.
3:00pm GMT – ISM Manufacturing PMI.
11:30pm GMT – RBA Gov Stevens Speaks.
Tentative – New Zealand’s GDT Price Index.
Wednesday 2nd.
12:30am GMT – Australian GDP.
9:30am GMT – UK Construction PMI.
1:15pm GMT – US ADP Non-Farm Employment Change.
3:00pm GMT – BOC Rate Statement and Overnight Rate.
5:25pm GMT – Fed Chair Yellen Speaks.
Thursday 3rd.
12:30am GMT – Australian Trade Balance.
9:30am GMT – UK Services PMI.
12:45pm GMT – ECB Minimum Bid Rate.
1:30pm GMT – ECB Press Conference.
1:30pm GMT – US Unemployment Claims.
3:00pm GMT – Fed Chair Yellen Testifies.
3:00pm GMT – US ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI.
Friday 4th.
12:30am GMT – Australian Retail Sales.
1:30pm GMT – Canadian Employment Change, Unemployment Rate and Trade Balance.
1:30pm GMT – US Average Hourly Earnings, Non-Farm Employment Change and Unemployment Rate.
