Recent comments from Fed members and the minutes from the Fed’s April meeting all suggest a June hike will be appropriate providing economic data warrants further action, as such US data will be this week’s main focus, with Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE), Average Hourly Earnings, and Non-Farm Employment Change (NFP) all due for release. Other highlights will include GDP from Canada, Australia, and Switzerland, the latest ECB monetary policy decisions and press conference, along with Manufacturing, Construction, and Services PMI data from the UK.

10:00am BST – Euro Zone CPI Flash Estimate.
1:30pm BST – Canadian GDP.
1:30pm BST – US PCE Price Index.

Wednesday 1st.

2:00am BST – Chinese Manufacturing PMI.
2:30am BST – Australian GDP.
2:45am BST – Chinese Caixin Manufacturing PMI.
9:30am BST – UK Manufacturing PMI.
3:00pm BST – US ISM Manufacturing PMI.

2:30am BST – Australian Trade Balance.
9:30am BST – UK Construction PMI.
12:45pm BST – ECB Minimum Bid Rate.
1:15pm BST – US ADP Non-Farm Employment Change.
1:30pm BST – ECB Press Conference.
4:00pm BST – US Crude Oil Inventories.
All Day – OPEC Meetings.

Friday 3rd.

2:45am BST – Chinese Caixin Services PMI.

1:30pm BST – Canadian Trade Balance.
